VINTAGE Early 1940's Unique to find CORAL COLOR Rayon ultra-fine Knit Jersey POWER GOWN, Red-Carpet Worthy today, as it was 80 years ago. Turquoise & Gunmetal Platinum Glass Seed Beads decorate the Neckline in a Fabulous Art Deco "Sunburst" Pattern. The Gown has a Wide Gently Pleated waistband, 2 Free Flowing DRAPED PANELS Cascade from just below the waist seam, adding to the already Sweeping skirt.

These Drapes are then Stitched onto another Panel underneath the Hemline, so they're kind of like "Sails" if you will. Two metal zippers, at rear upper neck and at side waist (zipper pulls are stamped "Conmar USA"). The darkish area you see in the pic of me from the side is shadow from my hand, NOT a stain, FYI. The Waistband is the same, you get some stretch with this Rayon Jersey, waist will sit at 24", but then stretched, max of 28". Sleeve-22 3/4, Shoulder seam to seam-14 1/2", Chest-32-34, Length shoulder to hem-57".

Condition is overall Good, completely wearable. Estate-direct, I haven't dry-cleaned it so you will find a moderate amount of stains, spots, standard surface dirt, & some ultra-faint tinges of discoloration at the cuffs & underarms (super indiscreet). There is a single row of turquoise beads measuring 1 1/8 in length, missing from the upper left shoulder. There are several small tears at hemline, a moderate amount of pinholes intermittently, but the billowy nature and vibrant color conceal these distractions very well.
